Samaritans Purse Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal.

First chose if you wish the gift to go to a boy or a girl – Age ranges 2 – 4, 5- 9 or 10 – 14.

A special item such as a doll, cuddly toy, skipping rope, go-to, toy truck, ball, musical instrument, Play-doh, finger puppets.
You can add a note from you or your family.
School supplies such as pens, pencils, crayons or felt pens, writing pads, notebooks, solar calculators, colouring books, glue stick, pre-inked stamp. When you have packed your box put a note of the age and boy/girl on a note on top of the box. I have the correct paperwork for this and will ensure it goes in your box.
Boxes need to be ready by the end of October.
I have some pre-printed shoe Boxes, let me know if you would like one or you can cover an ordinary shoebox with colourful wrapping paper and use that.

Sunday 30th August – St Mary’s Outdoor All-Age Service at 4pm on the lawn.
We’re making the most of the possibilities for meeting together at safe distance which is more achievable outside where we can gather in larger numbers. Please join us at 4pm to talk and share our picnics before a short service. We may not be able to sing but we will be treated to the beautiful voice of Shannon who has made a recording for our worship. The marquee will be set up (please let Steve know if you can help that morning) and there will be tables and chairs or rugs. Please dress for the weather that day (right now is forecast as sunny and breezy) and don’t forget your picnic! If you are able to offer a lift within the safety guidelines – both wearing masks, guest sitting diagonally at the rear, no physical assistance for getting in and out) please let Charles Burge know as he is trying to ensure all who want to join us may be able to so.
Ongoing Worship at St Mary’s
It was so good to meet up on August 3rd and we want to keep you informed that we are considering further options for potentially meeting for worship inside the church and via Zoom. Safety and well-being are highly important and within the guidelines we hope to be able to offer some mid-week worship and will let you know in the first week of September. To that end we are doing a “Practice Eucharist” on Wednesday 2nd September at 10am in the main church. If you would like to be part of that as we assess together what is practicable please contact Rev Gill as numbers will be limited and face coverings will have to be worn.
Tadley Autumn Arts at St Mary’s
We will soon have details of how to enter artwork into the exhibition we are hosting. Please let others know of this event 26-31October.
St Mary’s APCM meeting will take place on Sunday 20th September via Zoom after the service at 11.15 with coffee!
CTAT Forum will take place via Zoom on Wednesday 23rd September. Joining details to follow. This is a chance for a wider audience to hear about events planned across Tadley by the churches.
