‘I have had four strokes. The first one was 16 years ago after my late wife died and the last one was in February 2023. I was in hospital for six months.![]()

‘I love my garden. There are four steps from the kitchen to the path and I sit there and do the weeding. If I didn’t do that, I would sit indoors all day.![]()

‘The Lord’s Prayer from Matthew 6.9–13 has kept me going. It means so much to me. It doesn’t matter where I am or what I’m doing, everything seems OK when I pray it, even if it isn’t. I say it many times a day.![]()
